The Turkey River Culture is committed to promoting traditional music and dance, and providing an opportunity for local and regional musicians to gather and share their musical talents.
We currently sponsor 1-2 acoustic jam sessions per month, typically on Friday or Saturdays. A beginner’s slow jam is generally held from 11 am to noon. Potluck held at noon. Regular jam is typically held from 1-4. $5 donation appreciated.
If you know the basics of playing an acoustic instrument, and would like to learn how to “jam” with others, the beginners jam is ideal for you. You will learn how to hear chord changes, common chord patterns, and the “etiquette of jamming”.
The old school gym and stage are being used to host local music and dance performances.
