Wood Carving: Wood carving classes held every Wednesday from 1-4 pm. The fee is $10 per session. Classes are led by Slim Maroushek, a master wood carver, who has taught the art of carving, throughout the United States and in the Czech Republic. Beginners and advanced carvers are welcome. This is a great opportunity go collaborate with other wood carvers.
Basswood and butternut cut-outs and roughouts are available for purchase. Tool sharpening is available and you will learn how to sharpen your own tools. Loan tools available for beginners.
Music: the Turkey River Cultural Center has hosted workshops on beginners and intermediate guitar. We host a bi-monthly beginners slow jam session for those who play acoustic music and want to learn to jam with others.
